09:30 Gathering in the Kepler hall of the Planetarium
10:00 - 11:45 Guided Tour to the most important objects of interest in Stuttgart's center (in English)
12:00 Mayor's reception; City of Stuttgart, Town Hall
14:00 - 18:00 Visit of Germany's only zoological and botanical garden
19:00 Visit of the Television Tower Stuttgart, including guided walk through its technical departments
20:00 Warm buffet supper in Laki's popular restaurant

Saturday, August 7, 1999

09:15 Gathering in the Kepler hall of the Planetarium, walk to Stuttgart's Main Station
09:45 Departure on platform 4 to Ludwigsburg by regional train
09:55 Arrival in Ludwigsburg, bus transfer to the permanent garden show "Blühendes Barock", a unique garden landscape with garden art from different eras and regions covering over 75 acres.
10:10 - 10:50 Walk through the southern garden to the baroque palace "Residenzschloß"
11:00 - 12:30 Guided walk through the baroque palace (in English) Some highly interesting of the 452 rooms and 18 buildings will be visited.
13:00 Coffee/lunch break inside the park (not included in the programme fee). Visit to the general and the fairy gardens.
16:00 Return to Stuttgart by bus and train

17:00 Bus transfer from the Planetarium to Weil der Stadt (30 km from Stuttgart, *Johannes Kepler) Visit of the Kepler museum and of the mediaeval town centre and town wall
19:00 Reception by the mayor of Weil-der-Stadt in the town-hall cellar
19:30 Symposium dinner; Weil der Stadt, Hotel Krone Post
23:00 Bus transfer to the hotel, Stuttgart-Vaihingen
23:30 Arrival in Stuttgart; Planetarium

Sunday, August 8, 1999

10:00 Boat excursion on the river Neckar to Aldingen.
